What to test first
Common issues
Stick drift
The most common DualSense complaint. Measure resting drift above; under 0.05 is normal.
Not connecting to a PC
Charge-only cables and pairing mode are the usual culprits. Hold Create and PS together to pair over Bluetooth.
Triggers not reaching 100%
Press each trigger fully and watch the percentage. A trigger stuck below about 95% may be blocked by debris.
Tips
- Adaptive trigger effects and the speaker need game support and aren't testable in a browser.
- Firmware updates come through a PS5 console or Sony's PC updater.
