No sound on Mac
Most "no sound" problems on a Mac are the wrong output device, often a Bluetooth headset or a display that's still connected.

Begin met een snelle test
Stappen
- 1
Choose the output device
Open Control Center and click the arrow next to Sound, or open System Settings › Sound › Output, and choose your speakers or headphones.
- 2
Check volume and mute
Press the volume-up key and make sure Mute is off in System Settings › Sound.
- 3
Disconnect Bluetooth devices
If AirPods or a speaker connected in another room, sound may be going there. Turn Bluetooth off briefly to test.
- 4
Check the app's own volume
Browsers, players and call apps have their own volume and output choices. Check the tab isn't muted.
- 5
Restart
A restart releases devices that an app has frozen and reloads drivers. It fixes more problems than it should.
Werkt het nog steeds niet?
- Advanced: in Terminal, `sudo killall coreaudiod` restarts the audio system without a full restart.
- Check **Audio MIDI Setup** (in Applications › Utilities) that the device isn't set to an unusual format.
