How to set your default audio output
Your default output is where all sound goes unless an app chooses otherwise. The speaker test above plays through it (or through the device you pick, where your browser allows).

Choose the default output
Open Settings › System › Sound and pick your device under Choose where to play sound.

Set an output per app
Open Settings › System › Sound › Volume mixer and choose an output device for individual apps.

- Apps that are already playing may keep using the old device until restarted.
