Allow camera and microphone in Safari on Mac

Safari stores camera and microphone permissions per website, and macOS controls whether Safari may use them at all.

Open Safari website settings
Choose Safari › Settings › Websites. Select Camera or Microphone in the sidebar.

Allow the site
Find the site in the list and set it to Allow (or Ask). Set When visiting other websites to Ask so new sites can request access.

Reload the page
Close and reopen the tab if the old permission is still cached.

Safari uses the input and camera chosen by the system and the site. Check **System Settings › Sound › Input**.
