Allow camera and microphone on iPhone and iPad

On iPhone and iPad, both the browser app and each website need permission.

Allow the site in Safari
Tap the page menu button in the address bar, choose Website Settings, and set Camera and Microphone to Ask or Allow.

Check Safari's defaults
Open Settings › Apps › Safari (on iOS 17 and earlier: Settings › Safari), and under Settings for Websites set Camera and Microphone to Ask or Allow.

For other browsers
Open Settings › Privacy & Security › Camera and Microphone, and switch on Chrome, Firefox or Edge.

Screen Time can restrict camera access: check **Settings › Screen Time › Content & Privacy Restrictions**.
