Microphone not working in Chrome

When a mic works in other apps but not in Chrome, the cause is almost always a blocked site permission or Chrome using a different microphone. Test above, then check each layer.

ขั้นตอน

  1. 1

    Allow the site in Chrome

Click the site controls icon to the left of the address bar and set Camera or Microphone to Allow, then reload. To see every site, open Settings › Privacy and security › Site settings.

  2. 2

    Choose Chrome's default microphone

Open Settings › Privacy and security › Site settings › Microphone and pick your mic from the drop-down at the top.

  3. 3

Allow Chrome at the system level

On Windows, check Settings › Privacy & security › Microphone › Let desktop apps access your microphone. On a Mac, switch on Chrome in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone.

  4. 4

    Try without extensions

Open a guest or incognito window, where most extensions are off, and test again. If it works, disable extensions one by one.
