Keyboard typing the wrong characters
When the keys are right but the characters are wrong, the operating system is using a different layout. The test above shows which physical key you pressed and what character it produced.

Check the input language
Look at the language code in the taskbar (for example ENG or DEU). Press Windows+Space to switch layouts.

Remove layouts you don't use
Open Settings › Time & language › Language & region, select your language, open Language options and remove extra keyboards.

Avoid the accidental shortcut
Alt+Shift or Ctrl+Shift can switch layouts. Remove extra layouts so this can't happen.
Werkt het nog steeds niet?
- On some older laptops without a number pad, Num Lock turns letter keys into numbers. Press Num Lock (often Fn+Num) to turn it off.
