Use the mouse test above with your trackpad to check clicks, scrolling and movement. Then check whether the trackpad has been turned off.

Turn the touchpad on
Open Settings › Bluetooth & devices › Touchpad and switch Touchpad on. Check Leave touchpad on when a mouse is connected.

Check the touchpad key
Many laptops have an F-key with a touchpad icon that disables it.

Reinstall the driver
In Device Manager, expand Human Interface Devices or Mice and other pointing devices, uninstall the touchpad and restart.
